Showing in July 2027, this show is a thrilling, intimate rock musical exploring love, obsession, and the choices that change everything. With a haunting contemporary score and an electrifying atmosphere, Murder Ballad is a gripping story where passion and danger collide.

Content Advisory: Murder Ballad contains mature themes including strong language, sexual content, depictions of intimate partner violence, and murder. Viewer discretion is advised. Recommended for ages 16 and up.

Showing in August 2027, this ultimate feel-good musical comes to life with ABBA’s beloved hits, unforgettable characters, and a story full of romance, laughter, and heart. Set against the beauty of a Greek island, Mamma Mia! is an uplifting celebration that will have audiences singing and dancing all the way home.

HER NAME WAS FRANKIE:
A FRANKIE SILVER STORY

Join us for this staged reading happening next summer! There are many stories out there about Frankie Silver, but what makes a story the truth, and who gets to tell it? In this show, an author takes a trip to the South to write a book about the historic North Carolina Murderess. When she gets there, she finds the stories people tell have a whole lot more to do with the people telling them than the people they’re about.

BROADWAY AFTER DARK

Join us for this cabaret happening next fall! When the final curtain falls, Broadway comes alive in a whole new way. Broadway After Dark is an electric one-night-only cabaret celebrating the music that thrills, surprises, and captivates. With incredible performers, unforgettable storytelling, and an intimate atmosphere, this is a Broadway experience unlike any other.

INFORMATION

All ticket sales for Asheville Musical Theatre are exclusively managed through the Wortham Center for Performing Arts Box Office. 

Tickets may be purchased:
 

  • IN PERSON at the box office during regular hours. A $3 building operations fee per ticket will be applied.

  • BY PHONE at 828-257-4530 during regular hours. A $4.50 processing fee per order and a $3 building operations fee per ticket will be applied. Tickets will be held at will-call or e-mailed, or tickets can be mailed to the patron for an additional $1 fee.

  • BY MAIL to Wortham Center Box Office, 18 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801. A $3 building operations fee per ticket and an additional $1 for mailing will be applied.

  • ONLINE at www.worthamarts.org. A $3 building operations fee and processing fees apply per ticket.


7% NC sales tax will be applied on all ticket purchases. Tickets purchased in-person through the box office can be paid by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. Phone orders and online sales are by credit card only.
